Terms of use

These terms govern your use of 13F Flow, the website at 13f-flow.ai and the app atapp.13f-flow.ai (together, “the service”), operated by BasicMath LLC (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Not investment advice

13F Flow is an information tool. Nothing in it is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. It shows what institutional managers reported in their SEC Form 13F filings and related market data. Those filings are delayed, incomplete by design and may contain errors. Make your own decisions, and consult a qualified adviser where appropriate. You are solely responsible for any decision you make using the service.

2. What the data is, and its limits

• 13F filings are quarterly and are filed up to 45 days after each quarter ends. They cover only reportable long US equity and ADR positions, not short positions, cash, bonds or foreign listings, and they are not a manager’s full assets.
• Quarters are marked provisional while filings are still arriving, and figures can change as late or amended filings arrive.
• Prices, market capitalisation and reference data come from a third-party market-data vendor and are updated each trading evening. Sector classifications are derived from SEC industry codes with our own adjustments.
• Derived figures, such as flows, regimes, signals and the clone curve, are our own calculations and are illustrative.

We work to keep the data accurate, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, current or error-free.

3. Ask AI

Ask AI answers questions using AI models from third-party providers. Its answers are generated automatically andcan be wrong, incomplete or out of date, even when they sound confident. Check anything that matters against the pages and the underlying filings. Ask AI does not give investment advice. Your use of it is limited by a monthly usage allowance and by rate limits. How your questions are handled is described in our privacy policy.

4. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• Keep access to your email account and your sign-in links secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• One person per account. Do not share your account or create accounts to get around usage limits.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings.

5. The beta

The service is in beta. During the beta it is free, features may change or be removed, and it may be unavailable at times. We will email account holders before paid plans start. Beta accounts are never charged unless you choose a paid plan and enter payment details.

6. Plans and billing (after the beta)

When paid plans start, the following will apply, together with the price and terms shown at checkout:

• One plan, billed monthly ($15 a month) or yearly ($120 a year), plus applicable taxes. Prices may change before launch; the price that applies to you is the one shown at checkout.
• New accounts get a 30-day free trial. A payment method is required to start it. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically and renews each billing period until you cancel. We will email you a reminder a few days before the first charge.
• You can cancel online at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Optional Ask AI usage packs are one-time purchases; unused pack usage does not expire while your account is open.
• Promotional codes, including beta codes, apply on the terms stated with the code.
• Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor; we do not store your card number.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scrape, crawl or bulk-download the service, or use automated means to access it other than through the features we provide;
• resell, redistribute or publish substantial parts of the data, or use it to build a competing product;
• probe, disrupt or overload the service, or try to get around access controls, usage limits or security measures;
• use Ask AI to generate content that breaks the law or our AI providers’ usage policies; or
• use the service in any unlawful way.

Exporting tables to CSV for your own analysis is fine.

8. Our content

The service, its design, software and our derived data are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service under these terms. The underlying SEC filings are public records.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, timely or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any trading or investment losses, lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the service.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washington, unless the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.

14. Changes

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date and, for material changes, email account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
